We've got four words: stop watching session replays!

It's 2026, and your time is better spent on bigger-picture to-dos. The best session replay solutions offer AI tools that watch sessions for you, tell you which customer issues are most important, and give you the "why" so you can fix them.

This guide ranks 13 of those tools and highlights a few additional tools that are adjacent to the space. We evaluated every tool, including our own LogRocket Galileo, based on what its AI actually does and what impact it delivers to the user. We stacked up these tools against the same criteria, using each vendor's website, docs, and pricing.

This guide covers AI that analyzes sessions of real users on websites and apps. It's not focused on replays of AI agent or LLM conversations.

Short answer

Choose LogRocket Galileo if you're looking for AI that watches every session & tells you what's impacting users, across web and native mobile. LogRocket Galileo watches every session, prioritizes the issues based on impact, and explains the cause with console, network, and error data. LogRocket Galileo ranks as the best AI for watching session replays for teams that need issues found for them.

Choose PostHog Replay Vision if you're already using PostHog and can describe what you want to look for. LogRocket Galileo is the choice when you want AI to prioritize what matters for you.

Choose Fullstory AI if you're looking for written summaries across many sessions inside Fullstory.

Choose Quantum Metric Felix AI if you're an enterprise retail team that reports friction in dollars to merchandising and leadership. Also if a quote-based annual contract with vendor-led implementation and professional services suits you.

Choose Noibu if you need ecommerce checkout error monitoring, with an estimated revenue loss for each issue.

Choose Microsoft Clarity Copilot if you're seeking out a free option for heatmaps and AI summaries of web recordings.

What it means for AI to watch session replays

AI type What it does Removes watching? Examples
Watches for you (Push) Reviews sessions without a prompt, groups what it finds into issues, ranks them, and alerts you Yes LogRocket Galileo; Quantum Metric Felix Agentic (monitors KPIs and journeys); PostHog Replay Vision (scanners you set up)
Answers questions (Pull) Answers a plain-language question across many sessions and links the sessions behind it Partially Ask Galileo; Ask StoryAI; Contentsquare Sense; Ask Mina; Noibu AI Session Search (beta)
Summarizes a replay (Summary) Writes a summary of one replay, or a small group you selected No Microsoft Clarity Copilot; Mixpanel; Pendo; Datadog; Sentry; Fullstory StoryAI Summaries

LogRocket Galileo does all three. It surfaces issues from every session without being asked. Ask Galileo answers plain-language questions across your sessions, and LogRocket Galileo Highlights summarizes sessions with links to the exact moments that matter.

How we evaluated the AI tools that watch session replays

We evaluated 13 tools, based on the AI functionality that reads session replays, plus whether each finding is tied to business impact. Whether the AI watches sessions for you was the chief criterion:

Criterion What the best tools do
Watches sessions for you Reviews every session without being prompted, groups findings across sessions into issues, ranks them by impact, explains why they occurred, and links the sessions as evidence
Ask anything, answered across sessions Answers questions by pulling from many sessions, analytics, and tickets. Provides counts, charts, and the sessions behind the answer. Can return answers in the app, Slack, Teams, or via MCP
Agent access via MCP Allows your AI agents (including Claude Code, Cursor, and ChatGPT/Codex) to query the vendor's AI to watch sessions, and then pass the context for the issue to the coding agent to fix
AI you can trust Cites the sessions and data behind every finding, validates impact before alerting, avoids false-positives, and says how accuracy is measured
Reads beyond replays Combines session replays with support tickets, calls, reviews, surveys, and releases
Ties issues to business impact Communicates severity in several ways: users and sessions affected, conversion impact, estimated revenue, and the sessions themselves
Additional considerations AI watches every session or sample (including long sessions, and where results arrive); privacy (no training on your data, masked fields excluded); included or add-on price

Our evaluation accounts for each tool on the plan that includes AI features. We evaluated what customers can use today; features in limited release are noted and receive partial credit.

The competitor facts are sourced from vendors' own websites, docs, pricing pages, or marketplace listings. Features gated behind a login were treated as unknown.

Error monitoring and APM suites that add replay, such as Datadog and Sentry, and AI layers that analyze another vendor's replays, such as Lucent, are covered below the list.

The 13 best AI tools for watching session replays

1. LogRocket (LogRocket Galileo): Best for AI that watches every session & tells you what's impacting users

LogRocket is the AI-first session replay and analytics platform where LogRocket Galileo AI watches every session, surfaces the issues impacting users, ranks them by impact, and explains why they happened and what to do next.

How it works: LogRocket Galileo watches every session (web and native mobile) and reads support tickets, customer calls, and product changes. It validates impact before it raises an issue, then posts it in the app, Slack, or Teams. It can also answer questions from Claude/Claude Code, ChatGPT/Codex, and Cursor via MCP.

What it tells you: What broke, which users were affected, why it happened, and what to fix next. Session replays, console errors, and network requests are provided to support each finding.

Revenue impact: Using a revenue event or your average cart value, you can ask LogRocket Galileo to prioritize issues by revenue impact and estimate how much was lost. LogRocket shows severity in a few different ways: number of users and sessions affected, impact on conversion, estimated revenue. Funnels show revenue opportunities for each issue.

Privacy: LogRocket does not train AI models on your data. Fields you redact are removed before session data leaves your users' browsers or devices, so LogRocket Galileo cannot see them.

Limitation: Some LogRocket Galileo AI features are available only on Pro and Enterprise, not Core.

Price: The Pro plan, which includes all LogRocket Galileo features, starts at $292 a month for 10,000 sessions, billed annually at $3,500 a year. Every feature comes with a 14-day free trial, no credit card required.

Choose it if you want answers to come to you, not another dashboard to check. LogRocket Galileo watches every session, on web and native mobile, and alerts you when something is hurting conversion, engagement, or adoption. It takes no setup of dashboards or queries to run. And when you have a question, even a broad one, just ask. Ask Galileo finds the issues, sessions, and context behind the answer. When it's time to act, LogRocket Galileo can send an issue straight to a coding agent that opens a pull request with the fix.

2. PostHog (Replay Vision): Best for teams already using PostHog who can describe what to look for

PostHog Replay Vision uses AI to read session recordings through scanners: you describe what to look for, and it reviews the matching sessions.

How it works: Describe what to look for once, and a scanner reads every matching session. A scanner has a sampling rate that controls the number of matching sessions that get scanned. Scouts act as scheduled agents that look at a scanner's new findings on a schedule you set. PostHog AI can draft a scanner from a description.

What it tells you: Replay Vision reveals observations, which can be stored as events for charting and alerting. These observations add confidence score stamps to exact moments in the recording.

Limitation: PostHog's background sweep skips recordings with a few qualifications: shorter than 15 seconds, with under 10 seconds of activity, or with more than an hour of activity. PostHog's own blog draws the line well: "Replay vision fixes the watching part, but not the thinking part."

Price: Billed in credits, 2,500 free a month, then $0.01 a credit.

Choose it if you already run on PostHog, you already know what the AI should look for, and want findings stored as events next to your other data. It fits best when you use most of PostHog's products, and it's a weaker fit if you'd use only one or two.

3. Quantum Metric (Felix AI): Best for enterprise retail teams that report friction in dollars

Quantum Metric's Felix AI is a set of agents that monitors KPIs and journeys across all users, and quantifies the business impact of what changes.

How it works: Felix Agentic surfaces user friction with continuous monitoring of KPIs, journeys, and behaviors. Felix AI Summarization helps the agentic interface dive deeper into single sessions.

What it tells you: Felix identifies issues tied to business outcomes, usually by one of a few metrics: users affected, conversion, or revenue impact. Background agents check for technical root causes, i.e., error spikes, failed API calls, or slow-loading pages.

Limitation: Pricing is only available by quote. Setup is services-led. Pricing depends on "the amount of professional services you're looking for," and teams often rely on those services or a dedicated in-house expert to configure it and get value from it. Some AI features are limited by consumption. Quantum Metric's MCP is in beta. Felix AI Summarization answers questions about one session at a time, rather than multiple.

Price: Quote-based. Core capabilities are included in each enterprise plan.

Choose it if you identify as an enterprise retailer that needs to report friction to merchandising and leadership teams. It's also a fit for those seeking a vendor-led rollout.

4. Noibu: Best for ecommerce checkout error monitoring with revenue-loss estimates

Noibu is an ecommerce checkout error monitoring tool. It captures every session in a store, flags errors, slowdowns, and friction, and then estimates the revenue each issue may cost.

How it works: Noibu captures every session on your store, and its script flags the issues each shopper hits. It then estimates how each issue impacts conversion, surfacing them on a Priority Issues tab. The company's bug resolution agent traces root causes within your codebase and can open a pull request for human review.

What it tells you: The errors and slowdowns that cost the most. Attached are session highlights, stack traces, and estimated revenue loss.

Limitation: The revenue estimate uses the conversion drop "correlated with the issue" and "the average cart value," projected to a year, and Noibu notes it "may falsely correlate these issues with revenue loss and surface them in the priority view."

Price: Quote-based, billed by session consumption.

Choose it if you run a transactional ecommerce storefront, and your main priority is catching checkout errors. It's a fit for those that want each issue priced in estimated lost revenue.

5. Contentsquare (Sense and replay summaries): Best for teams focused on heatmaps & form analysis, with AI summaries of filtered sessions

Hotjar is now part of Contentsquare; Hotjar's AI is now Contentsquare Sense.

How it works: You can filter the session list, and then summarize replays. On Pro and Enterprise plans, group summaries cover up to 100 web sessions. App group summaries, meanwhile, are limited to 10 sessions. The company's Sense Analyst pushes insights ranked by severity on a configurable schedule to your email, Slack, or Teams.

What it tells you: Sense identifies customer friction patterns across the sessions you've filtered. Time-stamped links bring you to the most important moments.

Limitation: Sense samples a portion of replays by default: 25% on Pro and 50% on Enterprise, but those limits can be raised. A summary with 26 to 100 sessions returns five key insights, rather than a list of potential issues. Sense Analyst requires a paid add-on on Pro and Enterprise.

Price: Summaries are available on Growth, Pro, and Enterprise. Growth starts at $39/month billed annually.

Choose it if you're a web-first company and you already use Contentsquare for heatmaps and form analysis. You'll receive a weekly AI insight digest in the same tool.

6. Amplitude (Session Replay Agent): Best for product teams on Amplitude who want scheduled AI review of one funnel on the web

Amplitude offers its Session Replay Agent, which watches replays on a recurring schedule and reports the behavioral patterns it finds.

How it works: You choose an event or funnel, and the Session Replay agent gathers a sample of replays where it occurs. The agent gathers a representative sample, instead of reading every session.

What it tells you: The agent sends its findings, with the number and percentage of sessions affected, to an Agent Inbox, email, or Slack.

Limitation: The Session Replay agent doesn't support native iOS and Android replays. Those lack the element-level data required for the agent.

Price: The Session Replay Agent is an add-on to Growth and Enterprise plans. Both require speaking with sales for a quote.

Choose it if you're already using Amplitude analytics on web only, and if you want the replay AI inside the same charts and cohorts.

7. Fullstory (StoryAI): Best for written summaries of sessions you've already filtered

Fullstory brings its StoryAI, which is best for sessions you've already identified.

How it works: StoryAI generates summaries from the sessions you select. Its StoryAI Opportunities feature scans for anomalous friction and error events automatically. It then ranks for severity, impact, and trends over time.

What it tells you: StoryAI delivers a report of a filtered set of sessions with links to the most crucial moments.

Limitation: Within a playlist, Ask StoryAI works from a summary of the 10 latest sessions. StoryAI Agents is in early access, and Fullstory's MCP is still in beta, limited to existing customers.

Price: Enterprise and Advanced plans include Session Summaries. Opportunities and Ask StoryAI are available only with StoryAI Premium. Paid plans are quote-only.

Choose it if your web team already runs on Fullstory and you want AI readouts of sessions it has filtered.

8. Microsoft Clarity (Copilot): Best free AI summaries of recordings and heatmaps

Clarity is a session replay tool that's part of the Microsoft suite.

How it works: Users can generate session insights themselves on any recording. Grouped insights cover a list of up to 10 recordings, or ones you select.

What it tells you: Clarity creates a summary of what happened in the recordings you chose, with heatmap insights.

Limitation: Grouped insights cannot summarize all of a project's recordings at once. Session insights are not supported for mobile apps, and the Clarity MCP allows 10 API requests per project per day.

Price: Free

Choose it if you don't have a budget for session replay and you need on-demand summaries of web recordings you've identified yourself.

9. Mixpanel (AI summaries): Best for Mixpanel teams that want a quick summary of each replay they open

Mixpanel's AI is described as always-on product intelligence for AI-native teams.

How it works: Each replay gets an AI Summary tab, so you can see what happened without watching the entire thing. Magic Playlist summaries (in beta, publicly available) identify patterns across many replays at once.

What it tells you: Patterns across pre-built playlists, or a summary of a replay you've opened.

Limitation: Network recording is off by default and needs SDK configuration. Replays can arrive without the network data needed to explain the failure.

Price: AI summaries are available on Free, Growth, and Enterprise. The Free plan offers 10,000 free replays a month.

Choose it if you're already using Mixpanel and are looking for replay summaries at no extra cost.

10. Glassbox (GIA): Best for regulated enterprises that need full capture and record-keeping

Glassbox offers its Glassbox Insights Assistant (GIA), which fits users in regulated industries.

How it works: GIA runs AI session searches, summaries, and reports across 100% of captured session data, and ML anomaly detection alerts you to deviations.

What it tells you: It gives answers about sessions inside the app, plus anomaly alerts on the metrics you want to watch.

Limitation: GIA is more of an in-app assistant you can chat with, rather than an agent that reports on its own. Glassbox Pulse and the Glassbox MCP Server were announced on July 29, 2026, but no availability date is specified.

Price: Quote-based

Choose it if you're a large bank or insurer that's looking to capture 100% of sessions for record-keeping, or requires on-premises deployment.

11. Mouseflow (Mina AI): Best for chatting with session data on a small budget

Mina AI by Mouseflow turns behavior analytics into a queryable interface.

How it works: Mina analyzes your data continuously, identifying rage clicks, dead clicks, hesitation, and other friction as it occurs. Mina Insights surfaces the issues worth investigating every Monday.

What it tells you: Weekly changes worth investigating, and answers to questions you ask about the captured session data.

Limitation: Mina Insights works from aggregated session metrics and doesn't draw on page-specific highlights or journeys.

Price: Mina AI is available on all paid plans. Essential from $25/month.

Choose it if you're a small marketing or revenue team that wants heatmaps, form analytics, and an AI chat for well under $50 a month.

12. Pendo (Summarize replays with AI): Best for Pendo customers who want replay summaries next to guides and analytics

Pendo extends beyond guides and analytics to provide some AI summary features.

How it works: Pendo generates a summary in the background when you play a replay, as a chronological list of up to 10 key moments.

What it tells you: Pendo AI delivers the important moments of the replay you opened, in chronological order.

Limitation: Pendo summarizes singular replays rather than a full set. Its session replay covers only web apps. Summarize replays with AI is considered open beta as of September 2026.

Price: Included with a Session Replay subscription. Pendo pricing is quote-based by MAU.

Choose it if you already use Pendo to run your in-app guides and analytics and you want to add replay summaries.

13. Lucent: Best for a dedicated AI bug finder on a web app, if you can name what to watch for

Lucent is a session replay tool whose whole product is an AI that reviews the recordings for bugs.

How it works: Using an rrweb-based recorder, Lucent records sessions in your web app. It masks all text by default and focuses on events like rage clicks, dead clicks, and navigation friction. It can also analyze replays imported from other tools, like PostHog, Amplitude, Datadog, or Sentry (but there is no LogRocket integration).

What it tells you: Weekly reports on top issues, trends, and patterns. Drafted GitHub pull requests can be generated to fix issues.

Limitation: Its Active Signals are monitors you define, capped at three on Starter. So the AI largely looks for what you already suspect. Session retention lasts 30 days on Starter, and Autofix is capped at three pull requests a month.

Price: The Starter pack is $499 a month for a max of 10,000 sessions, Pro is $799 for up to 30,000, and Enterprise is custom pricing.

Choose it if your sole priority is AI bug detection on a web app, you can name the issues worth watching, and you can live with 30 days of retention.

Also considered

Datadog adds AI summaries and smart chapters to each replay. Its Bits Chat queries RUM data alongside traces, logs, and profiles. Datadog does not state which plan includes replay summaries.

Sentry writes an AI summary for every web replay. The company's Seer agent searches replays and debugs from issues, traces, logs, and profiles. Seer costs $40 per active contributor per month.

Hotjar is now part of Contentsquare. It's covered in number 5 above.

Best AI for watching session replays, by use case

If you want AI that watches every session & tells you what's impacting users: LogRocket Galileo.

If you run a Shopify Plus store without an analyst and conversion has dropped after a theme or app change: LogRocket Galileo, which ranks issues by the shoppers affected. If you only need checkout error alerts: Noibu.

If you're an enterprise retailer whose SVP wants AI that finds revenue leaks: Consider LogRocket Galileo or Quantum Metric Felix AI. Go with Felix if dollar reports for merchandisers matter most; choose LogRocket Galileo if you also want the evidence behind each issue: session, error, and network info.

If you want summaries of replays you already watch: Fullstory StoryAI or Microsoft Clarity Copilot.

If you want a free tool: Microsoft Clarity Copilot.

If you're a B2B SaaS product team and users record hour-long sessions on your app: LogRocket Galileo. If you're already on PostHog, try Replay Vision next to a LogRocket Galileo trial and compare the issues each one finds.

If you're on Amplitude and web only, and want to stay with one vendor: Amplitude's Session Replay Agent. If you need native mobile or AI that watches every session, LogRocket Galileo is the way to go.

If you're an engineering team with frontend errors that are difficult to reproduce, and tickets that sit for days: LogRocket Galileo, which identifies the issues that matter most and reveals what each user did before the error. Keep Sentry or Datadog for alerting.

AI replay analysis for B2B SaaS: Long sessions and frontend errors

Long sessions

LogRocket counts an hour-long session as one session, with unlimited events, so long sessions don't cost more to record or have LogRocket Galileo watch.

Meanwhile, other tools face limitations here. For example, PostHog's background sweep skips recordings with more than an hour of activity, and Pendo summarizes a replay as a chronological list of up to 10 key moments.

LogRocket Galileo Highlights summarizes up to 10 sessions for one user. LogRocket Galileo issue detection watches every session and every user.

Frontend errors and support escalations

LogRocket Galileo groups frontend errors and failed network requests into issues. It identifies the issues that matter most, prioritized by real user impact, and shows users and sessions affected alongside conversion impact. It also shows the steps the user took before each error, with the console and network data attached.

In addition to watching sessions, LogRocket Galileo reads support tickets from Zendesk and Intercom. Escalations arrive with sessions that explain the context. With LogRocket Galileo Highlights, the AI posts a private comment on the Zendesk or Intercom ticket summarizing what the user did before they asked for help. On Intercom, it adds screenshots of significant moments.

Engineers can also ask LogRocket Galileo what happened before an error via MCP through Cursor, Codex, or Claude Code. Teams can even auto-dispatch coding agents directly from LogRocket to open pull requests from issues.

Sentry tells engineers what broke, while LogRocket shows what the user did before it broke.

How to test an AI that watches session replays

Here are seven questions to ask yourself as you evaluate AI tools that watch session replays:

  1. Does it surface issues without being asked?
  2. Does it watch every session, or only the sessions you tell it to?
  3. Does it still function correctly with a 60-minute session?
  4. Does it back it up with evidence: the time-stamped moment of the replay, the error, and the network call?
  5. Does it rank by the impact that matters to you: users affected, conversion, or revenue?
  6. Does it reach you where you work: Slack, Teams, or your AI tools via MCP?
  7. Does it fit your privacy rules: no training on your data, and masked fields?

We recommend running two tools on the same two weeks of traffic and comparing the issues each one finds, not the feature lists.

Real examples of customers using LogRocket Galileo to watch sessions for them

  • Tecovas built a patching agent that automatically turns LogRocket's Issue Digests into actionable GitHub PRs using LogRocket Galileo; 60% of the agent's PRs ship without intervention.
  • ShipStation saves 46 hours/week with LogRocket Galileo AI watching sessions for them.
  • Kaplan uses LogRocket Galileo AI to pull deeper insights about their users. Per Eitan Dantzig, VP of Product: "We can now have a conversation with our data. This has put deeper insights about our users' behavior at our fingertips. It even allows us to ask things like, 'our customers are reporting an endless spinner, can you find that?' Galileo finds the issue, shows you what it looks like, how often it's happening, and even how to fix it."
